  1. Good day, Richard!

Ive been dreaming about my ex almost everyday. The dreams dont cary that much, its always about him being with another girl and i end up feeling devastated even after waking up. But two nights ago, i dreamt that even though he chose another girl after fighting with her, when i went home devastated, he was there on the roof of my house, on his knees and proposes to me. Tonight, i had another dream, this confused me a lot. I saw him again with a different person, but i saw through that person’s eyes. I felt like i was that person but in a different body, although i still felt really devastated since he wasnt with me. Once in awhile in that new dream, i can see them through my “real” eyes, but i know I’m not in the sane room with them, it kind of felt like i was watchibg them on the tv. I always wake up feeling more depressed especially that my worst fear is him falling in love with another girl. What do my dreams mean? Thank very much, Richard.

  2. I want to know what my dream means because this dream means to me alot but i font know what it really means…The dream goes…that i move to another school close but pretty distant to my pthere school I used to go and in one or first of my classes i see me ex girlfriend and she looks at me and makes a funny face to make me smile and i do the same thing ..later on on the day as my day goes one of the teachers or counselors says they want to talk to me and tell me …(Cant say her name)..”***** says your a really nice or great guy and says she would want to give you a second chance to be together.” Something like that and my day went so well and so happy until i woke up.
I want to know what this means …does it mean that she misses me or wants to contact me ..or even if she dreamed me to as some people say?

    • This is a response to Kevin’s dream,
Hi Keven, When I work with dreams, I usually just work on a more symbolic level rather than literal. Obviously you feel great with her in the dream and your relationship really works, but it usually does not necessarily hold that the relationship that you have in the dream world will work in the real world. What will work every time is to understand what it is inside of her that really worked for you in the relationship you had with her. She had a particularly quality that you really admired that attracted you to her. If you develop that quality inside of yourself, it will be like having a second chance with her. Then whoever you are in relationship with will really work well. It isn’t easy work. You have to think about what you admire and then really go for it in yourself like maybe she is enthusiastic or insightful.

Unfortunately or fortunately it doesn’t work to just go back to the relationship as it was because the tendency is to just end up in the same place you did the first time with the relationship. It is better to change a lot and then the relationship gets better and better.

    • This is a reply to Thandeka’s dream,
Pizza in real life is something to eat, feet is how you get from one place to another in the very short term, and a care is how you get to further places. Basically the dream says that your employer can help nurture you to where you want to go in the next part of your life.

  3. Dear Richard.

My best friend hesitantly told me about a dream he had yesterday.
The dream goes as follows. (from what he told me)

He remembered from his dream, him and i lying asleep, naked side by side on a bed, in a room full of water.

I told him it sounded as though he was feeling ardent about something, possibly how we havent seen eachother in almost two years. I must tell you i got married a year ago to date. He tells me this on my first anniversary.
Richard; I have dejavu dreams once a month. They are the only dreams i have. I dreamt he would tell me this dream. I didnt know when..i never do know when they will occur. In anyway ive had this feeling for a long time that he loves me. But he is afraid that if he is open with me that we will be torn apart.
Of course even if he did love me he’d still be “my brother”.

I am very interested in hearing your interpretation of this dream.

    • This is a response to Jacquilyn’s dream,
      Hi Jacquilyn,
The reason that your friend is having a dream being naked with you in a room full of water is that he relies a lot on you being his best friend. Being naked just means he feels free to be open and honest and being in the water room means the relationship is comfortable. While he may love you, it doesn’t mean that he has to be married to you, especially since you are already happily married. As long as your relationship is chaste with each other and there is no jealousy from your husband, which I guess is not the case with him, then it is ok to have a relationship with him. He needs to have some clear boundaries from you, which you have probably already set about what a friendship is and how it is different than a marriage. A marriage is about building a family to carry forward the next generation so it has to be protected with strong bonds and loyalty. Friendship are about mutual support. I can imagine that he probably needs your support more than you need his, but usually the more friends you have the better off you are in the world.

The deja-vu experiences happen to let you know that there are other worlds besides this one that have a different dimension with time. In the other worlds the future and the past don’t exist in the same way they do here. When you have a future dream, you should do everything in your power to do as much change work inside yourself as you can so that when the future comes, like the conversation, you are prepared for it internally.

  4. Hi, Richard.
Haven’t had dreams in the past few years up until a couple months ago. First one I had involved an old friend of mine who the last time I was in contact with was 4-5 years ago. She was sitting across from me and we were having a conversation. All I could see was her face. It felt about 5 minutes, I could see her lips moving but could not hear her voice until the last sentence. She said “In 7 months I am going to have to get an abortion.” I woke up and felt a very strong emotion that, well… I’d never felt before. A week passed and I signed up for a dating website. I told a couple friends (who’ve never met her) about the dream. One asked if she was on the website the other asked if I had her phone number. She was not on the website, but I did have her number from 10 years ago (whether or not it was still hers I don’t know) and he told me to call her that week. I told him “I have a feeling I’m going to see her” so we made the deal 2 weeks. Two days later she appeared on the dating website. I messaged her and we talked for a bit. Learned from our conversations and she helped me grow. There still remains the emotion 2 months later. I can gather the sense that there is something I am supposed to do but what that is I don’t know. There is a sense of sadness or loss in an empathetic way. I feel driven to warn of something but I’m not sure of what or how to approach it. I’ve had one more dream with her in it and at the end she was yelling for help but I couldn’t find her. Can you provide any wisdom on a situation like this?

    • This is a response to Ben’s dream,
Hi Ben, Almost always when you have a dream, your first reaction should automatically be that that was a metaphor. It wasn’t literal. The abortion in the dream is a metaphor. It doesn’t mean that she is going to have a real abortion. It means that the energy that she represents in the dream needs to have a metaphoric abortion inside of you for you to have a really great relationship with someone else. The important thing is see the dream world more like dealing with energy inside of you than dealing with the actual people in the dream. She represents a type of energy inside of you, probably that a long term relationship will last if it is about more than just physical attraction, that it has to involve strong characters also. You probably have to abort the idea that a relationship is just about being attracted to someone else, that love will conquer all. It doesn’t. You need other things as well. Most of the people that I work with in relationships have this problem that they are really attracted and love the person, but there are major character flaws in the other person. It is better to abort the relationship at the early stages before the baby (the relationship) goes into the committed stage. That is what the dream is trying to say.

  5. Dear Richard,
i have this dream where i am in my older sisters room floating and there is this old woman standing at the opposite side of the room. she is dressed in all black and looks like she’s from the 1800s. I try to scream for help but nothing comes out, I try to move but I can’t. Then the woman looks up at me and her eyes are blood red and she begins to walk slowly towards me with a knife. Right when she is about to stab me I wake up. I have had this dream since I was four years old (which is odd because I can’t really remember anything from when I was that age let alone dreams) and it recurs at least once a year. What does this dream mean?
    Thank you.

    • This is a response to Mollie’s dream,
Hi Mollie, The problem in the dream comes when you are in your older sister’s room. This means that you are trying to be like your older sister, which is common for younger siblings. It is like when you try to live the life of your older sister, then the life you are supposed to have is going to killed by the older woman. What you need to do to solve this dream is to find out what is unique about your own self and then to really live that life. When you start thinking that way, then the people showing up in your dream will be more positive.

  6. Hi Richard,

So glad to find this website and hopefully be helped out with a dream I just woke up from.

Lived in a wooded area, walked up a path to smoke a cigarette with boyfriend and best friend. A bunch of junkies were at the end of the path before the gravel turned into a huge field. As we walked past them we heard sirens and everyone scattered. My friend and I dropped to the ground but my boyfriend ran in a circle and a police officer shot him in the leg. I got up and tried to yell but my friend pulled me down and said no! I laid there and thr officer came up to me and held his gun right to my face then I woke up drenched in sweat.

    • This is a response to Katelyn’s dreams,
Smoking a cigarette is a dream is a symbol for trying to be free inside. When you smoke, it forces you to inhale or breathe which gives you a free feeling. Air is the symbol for being freer. If you use breathing as a metaphor to get to a freer place inside, then smoking is a good metaphor in the dream world. However, in the outer world is more like being an addict, and thus is like breaking a spiritual law. When you are doing the breathing internally it is freeing, but addictions in the outer world cause you get shot down like your boyfriend and the threat to you.
Probably would be good to take some courses where you learn how to breathe like in meditation and yoga.

  7. Hi I really need help interpreting my dream please.
I, dreamt I was I a bus shelter and all I could hear was thunder, and I could see lighting, it was really bright, at first it hit a tree next to the shelter and as it did it light up the tree, it was really pretty. The lightening then struck the bus shelter I was in it light up the whole bus shelter including the floor it was it was like something I the avatar movie. There was also a girl in the bus shelter with me. We both got scared and ran, it was raining but not a stormy rain, it was quiet nice with the cool wind blowing on our faces it felt like a nice breeze in summer and smelt like morning air. It was actually quiet calming, but I was just scared of the lightening. Anyway we ran to primary school and there was no children there just one teacher eating an apple and she said no one brought there children in because of the weather, the room we was in was slightly dark, but that could have been because outside was cloudy, but the room was really nice and cosy considering it was a school. I woke up soon after that.
    Thank you

    • This is a response to Ray’s dream.
Hi Ray, In this dream you get scared at a bus shelter because of the lightning and that causes you to run for shelter. The thing that you are aware of in a positive way is cool wind and cozy room that were both calming to you. This means that your true self is trying to get to a place of calm inside like a shelter from the outer world. Lightning is what the culture uses to unsettle people so that they won’t be calm and tranquil. When people are calm and tranquil, they are not controllable so lightning is used to make people feel fearful. When you are fearful, you are controllable. Lightning is like a crisis. It takes away tranquility.

    • This is a reply for Joan’s dream.
Hi Joan, The lizard part of someone is their reptilian brain which is like their lower baser self that is all about being in for yourself. So a lizard on the ceiling is about being really up about having sex for your satisfaction only. The lizard falling is a metaphor for what happens with that kind of sex. It is a real high for a short time and then a drop. The best kind of interaction whether it be sex or any other activity when it is mutual rather than self-centered.

  8. Good morning, Richard!

I just broke things off with my boyfriend yesterday. We have been in limbo for 4 months already and finally, yesterday I found the courage to really break things off. He has been cheating on me for quite some time and hasnt really been doing anything to make me feel secure and loved. Last night, i dreamt about him being in love with someone else and in my dream, i begged him to go back to me but he didnt want to. I woke up and felt really bad and started crying. I fell asleep again and dreamt of the same thing. I had the same dream for 4 times in just one night. Now, I feel really depressed and I miss him terrible and I just want him back even though he did not really try to fight for me. What does this mean? Thank you, Richard!

    • This is a response to Nikki’s dream,
Hi Nikki, You were right to break if off with your boy friend because a relationship can withstand disloyalty. It was a very courageous thing to do so I honor you for that. The problem that you have in the dream is this. Your now ex-boyfriend has something positive about him that you need in yourself to make your current life really work. I am not sure what it is but it is probably about being goal driven and more aggressive to achieving things. He doesn’t how to be in a reciprocal relationship for very long probably because of a lot of hurt in the past from his family, but that is his business to fix, not yours, and you don’t want to wait another century for him to get better. What you need to do is to work on your own goal orienting self, if that is what the energy is that is positive in him, and then your life will work. When you come into this quality, which will take some work, then you will find more balance and then be able to find a more balanced man to relate to, not one who will cheat on you all the time. The reason that you get so sad is that you don’t have a great deal of belief yet that you can develop this in yourself, but once you do, then the relationships will be much better and more lasting. Don’t let him back in. Keep him kicked out. Let me know if you have some questions about the process. You can write them hear or at dreamsforpeace@gmail.com.

  9. I have been with my boyfriend “Tyler” for 5 years . All through high school. We only talked once today and we were arguing still about last night. We usually still call each other but not today. His parents are not together and he does not speak to his Older brother on his dad’s side. “Roemelo” is his friend also mines because I went to high school with him. But in the dream I was dating this guy (a coworker who I am not interested in) .. And I guess me and Tyler broke up but something happend where he won’t be able to remember mr but I remembered him and I lived in a different apt complex and I left with my bf and mom and I seen Tyler his mom his dad and his big brother “Roemelo” and I started crying my mom pushed me to go but Tyler didn’t know me

    • This is a response to Derica’s dream,
Hi Derica, What is happening to you usually happens 5 years into a relationship. You can kind of live off each other for 5 years being dependent on each other, but after 5 years, he or you is just not enough for the other person. It is perfectly naturally so you shouldn’t worry. Now you are in the habit of relying on your boyfriend and he on you, but the dream says that there is another energy that you need to develop inside of yourself that you need, that has nothing to do with your boy friend. The person that has the energy is the co-worker. It is a positive energy that will make your life really work right now. It doesn’t mean that you are going to forget your boy friend or have to give him up. It means that you have to start developing your own self and he has to develop himself and then it will be a much better relationship. The energy you need is from your co-worker so you can ask yourself what he has that you do not, but you need. Then you can start to work on how to become more like that each day. If you work hard for about 6 months, then you will have the new energy and your relationship will be amazing because you will learn that you don’t have to be so reliant on your boyfriend to be happy and he doesn’t have to feel the same way. Let me know if you have some more questions. It can be complicated to start the change process.

  10. I dreamt that I was sleeping and suddenly I heard war sirens. My mother waked up and asked me what was going on and I told her “War”. Then, I took my sister and we were running in the forest. There was someone who was beating up his sister, and when he saw my sister he took her and tried to beat her up too. But I saved her. Then I saw that it was day and my grandfather was slapping my father, because he had cheated on my mother. When we returned home, a friend of my sister visited us. Then, a little baby girl visited us (The baby lives in my hometown). We played with the baby, but my sister went somewhere and I was left alone with her sister and the baby. Her friend was wearing blue slippers and took them out. When she left, my sister had returned and said to the baby to say “goodbye” to her friend. In real life, I like her friend. Is this connected to my unconscious mind?

    • This is a response to Jon’s dream,
Jon, The first thing you should realize about this dream is that it started out with you sleeping. Sleeping in a dream at the beginning means that you are asleep to your real true life that you need to go out and get for yourself. It is like you are sleeping to what you could be really doing. The war (which means conflict) is what wakes you up. This means that you only start to wake up in your life when bad things like war happen and people get abused or pushed around. This, also, is not how you want to wake up in your positive life.
The baby in the dream is like your baby self, which means that a part of you that is really positive and has a great positive life with fantastic relationships especially the girl you like, is like a baby to you. The dreams wants to be more proactive and positive in the kind of positive life you want to live. You should just start going for it, but realize that you are a baby to it so it will be uncomfortable at first. Then you will start having great relationships. Go for it.

    • This is a response to Myla’s dream,
Fish are symbols that show that you have something to teach someone else, but a crocodile when it is negative, is a symbol that someone really negative is lurking to try to catch you in a vulnerable situation so that they can take advantage of you for their own gain. You have to do your best to keep the crocodile away from the environment in which you are teaching. Then you can have a positive relationship with others and teach well.

  11. I dream a reptile but it looks as different body is like a very thin and long black worm but head is like a very small cobra it try to hit my two daughters myself and my hubby try to save my children.my hubby cut its body it doesnt stop hitting finally he crushed its head… i want interpretation for thz dream

    • This is a response to Shreen’s dream,
When a negative attacking reptile is going for your family in a dream, it means that someone in real life with really negative lower ego energy is attacking you. The best way to deal with this, if you can, is to ignore the person and leave them alone, while you and your family get to a much higher spiritual place where you are totally united. Reptilian energy is really selfish and intends to suck the life out of people for its own sake. You can kill the reptile like your husband did which means ending the relationship, but it doesn’t stop others from coming back. What stops other reptilian type people from attacking is when you have a really united and positive family.

  12. ive had two very real dreams of a man in my past a very spiritual man who was really keen to help me on my healing path who I felt very drawn to but denied any feelings as I became friends with his partner … Due to her possessiveness with him around all women including me we don’t see each other as friends anymore… the dreams were not like normal dreams the last one he told me he could feel me near and we were standing very close but I wanted to know if he was still with his partner as I am now single but I got woken up feeling very heavy energetically… I am very psychic and so is he I also bumped into him out one day which was unusual for him to be out … being s very very spiritual man he works and is at home most of the time preferring to be away from public places … this sort of dream has happened twice this year and leaves me with a lot of questions …

    • This is a reply to Tracey
The important thing to do when you are doing dream-work is to take the dreams more symbolically than literally. It is really difficult thing to do in relational dreams that are positive because the feelings engaged make you want to be with other in real life. Whether or not this could eventually happen is something that I don’t concern myself with too much. What i do is concern myself with the metaphoric side. In this case what you need in your life is his inner qualities that make him seem spiritual to you. Your spirit is attracted to the things he has in his character and wants you to develop those in yourself. So you should ask yourself what is the best quality that he has and then start really working as hard as you can on a daily basis to incorporate that into your life. When you do this, your life will change in ways that you could have never dreamt possible before.

  13. I have just lost a dear friend. He was 22 years old her died 2 weeks ago today. Last night i had a dream that he was dean in the dream but came to me to tell me signs of how to know he is with me, and in my dream i told him “i hope you kno how much i love you and miss you” but he was dead in the dream and just reaching out to me i could see him and we laid together for a moment and talked. He told me a few signs how to know he is with me from day to day. What does this mean?

    • This is a response to Robbi’s dream.
Hi Robbi, When you have a dream like this, as painful as the loss is, it is there to let you know that he is with you and supporting you from the next world. When you need him, you can just call on him. Mostly he will tell you that you are/were very loved and because of the love, you can also be extremely loving to others. This is what the world needs more than anything.

  14. Two of my daughter are having reoccurring dreams. My 8 year old daughter’s is a concern . She is dreaming that a woman is killing people ( although is doesn’t actually witness the killings ) and somehow the woman is in our home drinking something from a cup. After she finish drinking, she sits the cup down and it refills it’s self. My daughter is in the bed and I run to her crying and trying to protect her . My daughter said she looks at me in the dream and ask me why was I crying, I didn’t respond so she points at the woman and ask me am I crying because of the lady . I say yes , then my daughter wakes up screaming at this point each time……
My 12 year old keeps having dreams of my deceased mother who passed away a year & a half ago. It’s not a bad dream but in the dream they go car to a “self wash ” car wash , they wash the car together then go get ice cream ….. Normally I wouldn’t think much of this dream but it’s a reoccurring dream.

    • This is for Mrs. White’s daughter’s dreams,
Hi Mrs. White, The most productive way to think about this dream, which is not going to be easy for you, is to believe that the woman in the dream who is killing people drinking from a cup is the fear energy in the home that comes from you having been put down in the past. You probably do not treat her like you were treated, but she is still picking up the fear energy that exists in the house. The drinking is the drinking in of negative comments and then saying and doing negative things as a result. There is a fear that this is going to happen. You can help your daughter a lot by nurturing her with a lot of positive comments about herself. You can do the exercise I suggested with you in the same way with her only you can do the writing down of positive things about her and say them all the time. This will give her new life all the time.

  15. Dear Richard,
Thank you for your previous interpretation of my dream. I had a dream last night about the same ex-guy best friend I mentioned. This time, I dreamt that all of society was stored in a brown rec room, and it was divided into two opposing sides that weren’t allowed to interact with each other, breeding hostility. I don’t know why, but I decided not to join either side and was instead buying a pretzel from Auntie Ann’s. But My ex guy best friend was caught in the middle, because neither sides would accept him. Finally, a member of the left side shoved him onto the ground between each side, and the ex was injured and struggling not to cry. His injury was unable to be seen, but it must’ve been on his leg somewhere because he was rubbing it and staring at it. I rushed to his side to comfort him, but for some reason he couldn’t see or hear me. I was invisible, but my half-eaten pretzel wasn’t, so I offered it to him in hopes he’d notice me or at least eat it, but he did neither. He just looked at it, then started to sob. I have no clue what this dream means.

    • This is a response to Empire’s dream,
Hi, In this dream you are doing the right thing by staying out of the conflict. This is because peace is impossible when you take sides and become embroiled in things. Your boyfriend becomes involved and the knocked by the left side, which is off a symbol for the wrong side. This is meant to show you that even in a right-wrong situation you cannot get into a conflict by siding for the right side and fighting against the other. The principle is to stay above conflict and then find ways for people to become unified and peaceful. Some people just want to fight because fighting is a way of advancing. The wrong side loves fighting because it can advance through defeating and showing how strong it is. Then everyone lives in fear. What you you do is to stay above the fight and find the place where peace and unity reside because that is where the really truly spiritual power resides.

  16. hi, I just discovered this website and I keep having dreams about this thin black lady. I am biracial. So, i’m not sure if it is an ancestor or someone trying to communicate with me. I am only 14, but I am very curious of why this is happening to me. the latest dream of her was last night. I was with my female cousin Cierra. She is 18 or 19. But, we have a difficult relationship. She used to bully me a lot and now we are getting closer but slowly. Now, the dream. Cierra and me were walking. But it seems as if we were little girls again but I was wearing these flats that I adored. One of them fell off into a ditch. So, I ran into the ditch to go get it. It was like the ditch never ended. I almost fell deep into the ditch just to get my other flat. She grabbed my hand and told me it wasn’t worth it. It only made me think harder. I couldn’t picture her doing this as when we were kids. But, I climbed out and she helped pull me out. We then started running fast, as if we were running from something or someone. We then appeared to be in a house. I was looking for water, I became really thirsty. I couldn’t find any though. I was looking for a tub. We were in a huge white house, on a 2-acre of land. It was an elegant house with many doors, many bedrooms and room. Cierra was searching for something or someone but she wouldn’t tell me. I then came into a room. It was 3 little girls in long, elegant dresses. They were sitting in a circle kind-of. When I opened the door, they all looked at me with a interesting look. They looked at my feet. I thought it was because I was bare feet but they looked me in the eyes with a serious look. They walked in a weird pattern towards me. I ran slamming the door. I then saw the lady standing there talking to my cousin. They both turned to look at me. Cierra said something to her. She told me to come closer. I did. She laid her hand out. Before I could lay mine on hers. I woke up confused. Can you tell me what this means.

    • This is a response to Tyra’s dream.
Tyra, the issue you have in the dream is that you are holding on a little bit to what happened to you as a child n relation to being bullied. Now you are making the journey from being a child to a young adult. The new house represents your new self that you are being welcomed into. It is characterized by the virtue of elegance or exquisite beauty which you don’t believe you have a lot of right now. This is an inner and not necessarily and outer quality.
