  1. Ok this one is a strange one. I remember in my dream I wanted to look at the sex of a cat. The cat was maybe black, dark brown, and small parts of ginger fur. When I saw the cat’s parts, it showed an anus and a strange part, two vaginas. What the heck?!
    I’ve curious what this means.

    • Dear Sophie,
Cats are symbols of independence as in having your own mind and thoughts and having the ability to go in your own direction despite what others are doing or pressuring you to do. Metaphorically two vaginas means that you can potentially have sex with two partners at the same time. This means that you can entertain two independent thoughts and actions simultaneously. You do not just have to have one.

  2. dear Richard, this dream begins with me being with a group of people assembled in a semi-wooded area. maybe about 15 or 16 in number.our goal is to liberate a town maybe or 9 miles ahead under the control of a certain group conducting illicit scientific experiments, which have led them to something very dangerous.
if not stopped they could be in a position to blackmail the world’s governments.the people of the town are being controlled by various means. one of them is food tampered with mind altering substances. another frequency beams. a scientist is being held prisoner in the town, who has the missing key that they to complete their secret weapon.despite isolation, sleeplessness, and drugged food he has withstood their best efforts.we have come equipped with ultra-sophisticated weapons. the town seems quiet and deserted we enter the town with maximum stealth. when we reach the town square, however a siren goes off and a searchlight beam shines on us. i hear someone yell “look. there they are”then we hear an engine. a flatbed tow truck pulls up at the end of the street.its payload is a large cylinder shaped metal container about 8 feet in length.
2 men in uniform place bags of white powder in front of the truck, then draw unusual looking guns and fire at the bags. the bags explode in a cloud of white mist.the cloud begins to crystallize. while all this was happening we had not been idle. we activated our weapons.28 seconds later(we had hi-tech devices for the time) we were confronted by an incredibly fast moving glacier. we opened fire with frequency beams and light rays automatically adjusted to the exact frequency of the glacier which our sensors told us consisted of liquid oxygen, nitrogen gas, and chemical compounds i had never heard of. the glacier was ripped apart and shattered. this was just a temporary respite.
intense frequency beams from the control tower began hitting our shields( which were activated when we first entered the town) these beams were so strong they could be almost felt behind the shields so o our own shields were also increased in strength .i don’t know what would have happened next but just then i heard a voice crying out.it seemed to be coming from behind us. i turned around and saw a man dressed entirely in green on the roof of the train station.he wore a green hat and had a brown beard. he was calling for a truce between both sides, and giving arguments why it should be. pointing out the folly and futility of all war. i cannot answer for the others but i felt immediately calmed and warmed. i could sense the energy of the creator.when i asked him if he did not think what this group was doing had been doing was dangerous in the extreme he answered this was exactly what they would have to give up. i look forward to your analysis of this

    • Dear James,
The dream starts in the midst of the inevitability of people using science in a destructive way for their own selfish person, but it ends with the hope of peace and reconciliation that science can be used in a positive way for constructive purposes. Self-interested science is a dangerous thing, and your natural tendency is act as you were acting in the first part of the dream. While it has some temporary results, it never fully works because it does not get to the heart of the issue which is self interest. In the end of the dream you are waking up to a different solution which is creating a movement which is science for the benefit of humankind. When it is used in this manner, which you can do, it can have great and far-reaching benefits for all of mankind. The dream is encouraging you to do the approach at the end of the dream and let go of the one at the beginning. It is not so much that you are fighting against selfish people, but that you are increasing the number of people who believe in doing science for positive reasons to help others. This is why we are seeing in the world people who are just giving their scientific discoveries away to humanity rather than guarding it for their own selfish gain. While it is just beginning, it is exactly what needs to happen. First people need to be convinced of the futility of war because as we know, everyone loses in war, even the winners. Nowadays none of the wars, which are mostly civil are being won. They just go on and on with lots of loss and no winners.

      • dear Richard,i have been reflecting much on this and see that for the most part your analysis is a very insightful one.

      • this is a dream i find rather perplexing. in it i am running from pursuers and evade them by ducking underneath a white granite bridge. they run over the bridge without stopping. as soon as i hear them fade away in the distance i break cover and follow what seems to be a rail line of some sort-very likely inner city light rail-for a short time, then i come to a locked beech-wood door. i am still outside but approaching a indoor station. then i stop in front of the door and listen to the singing inside. more than one person.when the song is finished i start to walk on,but behind me the door opens and about four children and one adult come out. the interesting thing is all the children wear straw hats but the adult- a white haired, long faced man with rectangular eyeglasses-was bareheaded. he called out to me “wait”. i turned around and faced him. “the train you want is five tracks to the left” i thanked him and walked on. what struck me the most was one child wearing a straw hat such as are worn in central america. i entered the station. when i had gone about four tracks in the direction indicated i came to two tracks, instead of one. standing on the station platform was a young woman about 19 or 20 wearing a long dark green blouse and a straw hat(why do so many of my spirit guides wear straw hats?) this one looked more like the hats worn by Venetian gondoliers. she had dark brown hair which she wore shoulder length. she said ” that is the train you want” pointing to a train a little bit to the side of the other two. i thanked her and boarded the train.after awhile the train pulled out. when this dream began it was mid-afternoon but by this time it was twilight. it had gone a short way when i noticed something. out of the left window there could be seen a light not unlike the aurora borealis ,whereas through the right window could be seen a marketplace with every form of healthy organic food and many other things. it was huge and seemed to have a limitless number of booths. here is what happened next. both the train and myself were headed in two directions at once. almost like split infinity. you can hopefully shed some light on this

        • Dear James,
The purpose of being chased in this case seems to be positive. It is as if the negative forces pursuing you help you to end up on the path you end up in the dream. Without the pursuers you may not have gone to the tracks. Once you start heading down the path to the train, you get guided along the way. This is a basic truth about finding your way in life. You have to move along a path before you can get guided. Once you move, the guidance comes. I am not clear about the straw hats other than the people are positive and helpful rather than negative and pursuing. A train is a symbol for being single minded because it goes along a single track. In your case you are being asked to be single-minded about two things. You can take that to mean that you are being asked to focus on two things equally. That is why the train splits. The first is your spiritual health and development symbolized by the aurora borealis while the second is your physical health symbolized by the organic foods. If you can do both, you will get where you want to go in life in amazing ways.

  3. In my dream, I was lying down on my phone in a group settings in the dark, then randomly someone was taking a dog somewhere as it wiggled around a bit, and on impulse I reached out and pet it, and it smiled playfully. Afterward I thought about the consequences if it would’ve been mean and how careless I was.
Later in the dream, I guess my old grandmother in the dream had passed, and she had an old dog that wasbleft alone at her house, depressed and waiting for her for quite some time. I was in another group setting, and I guess the “people” were getting her things situated and when I seen someone walk by with her dog, it was isolated and depressed. Its tail was between its legs and its head down, as it sadly followed on a leash. People would wanna touch or pet it but it would ignore them. I suddenly remember when I pet it earlier (even though earlier it wasn’t even the same dog), and thought it might remember me, plus it was My grandmothers dog. I either called it or wen over and pet it, but as soon as it seen me, it lit up and excitedly jumped over me and gave me the biggest, saddest hug ever, wrapping his paws around me, and I held it back. We went and lied on the ground happily playing as I rubbed its stomach and everything. Everyone watched in awe as the dog was no longer depressed.
Later at home when we discussed the dog, one of my step siblings casually asked why one of my other siblings doesnt just go to my grandmothers house. It got quiet, and my mom called them over to another room so she could tell them. I turned around to continue cleaning, but silently cried to myself, which happened very often throughout this dream.

Later I woke up, but fell back asleep and had a dream that someone, like a manager, was recording me trying to show off my skateboarding as a skill or to look cool for something, cause I don’t actually skateboard. I slayed around a ramp pretty easily cause it was short distance, and even jumped something by accident, but made it look like a trick. Then they told me to start at the opposite end for a reason I can’t remember, which has a bigger flatter space. I actually managed to skateboard over the long distance perfectly and make a good video.

    • Dear Patricia,
What this dream tells you is that if you become like a dog, you can change darkness into light and depression into upliftment, and then do practically anything. The dog represents your ability to reach you and be really friendly and connecting with others. When you do this, they get out of their depression and darkness. You are aware that they could be aggressive, but you don’t allow that to stop you. You go for it anyway. Then good things happen. If you practice this, you will find that situations that were dire, will actually change for the better. Then you will be able to do the skateboarding part which is to do something with ease that you didn’t believe you could do before. I cannot tell you how important this ability to be friendly to others is. You can have a dramatic affect on everyone around you.

  4. Hi. So two days ago i had a dream i stumbled upon a random girl who’d just gotten thrown from her vehicle and her arm was across the street it was very graphic. I woke up when she took her last breath. Last night i had another less graphic dream where i stumbled upon a random man lying on the side of the road hurt. I woke up quickly. What do these mean? I’m scared I’m going to stumble upon an accident or get in one myself

    • Dear Jessica,
The reason that you are having the dream is because of your response to the really negative situations. It seems that what happens is that you become horrified and then hope that you do not have these things happen in life. What the dream wants you to develop in yourself is the ability to help people who are in need. The world is full of people who have traumas happening to them like losing their jobs or families and need people who will be present and helpful in those situations. Your work right now in your life is to develop the ability to help others who are going through really rough times. You must have an exceptional ability to do this, but it is undeveloped as of now. Because this dream was nightmarish, don’t try to jump to fast into the process. Start small with situations that are not huge and gradually develop your ability to be calm and present and helpful in crises.

  5. i was going back to my old school for some reason and the a bad thunderstorm hits. after the storm is done i try to leave but i get a phone call but seeing who it was i angrily declined it. (i don’t know who they are in real life) shortly after i see the girl who called me and she hits my siblings across the head with a brick and then i take one and hit her, knocking her unconscious. What does this mean

    • Dear Jaila,
This dream reminds you of a pattern that was developed while you were in school as a way to cope with really difficult people who are aggressive. You have a tendency, according to the dream, to use the fight response, when your ego is engaged. The other response is the flight. You don’t flee, you fight. The goal is actually for you to learn better how to get close to a lot of people and be united with them so that you can have a lot of positive relationships. While it is appropriate to protect yourself in real life, the way to get to more unity with a lot of people is to be detached from people like the girl in the dream, that is to not let them affect you in anyway, to be understanding of what kind of life they are coming from, and then to gradually include them in your life in a positive way. It is not an easy process by any means and make take a life time to develop. The first step is disengaging. If you could get to the stage of actually having a positive relationship with the person in the dream, then you will be able to achieve almost anything in your life.

  6. Hi, I was wondering if you could help me understand a dream. I recently just had a dream about my boyfriend and two dogs I have been away from my boyfriend for two years due to different circumstances and he comes home this Thursday and there were two dogs pit bulls I can say one was red and one was black they were being vicious like they wanted to attack me and all I can remember was looking over to my left and I can see my boyfriend on his phone and he was looking at me but at the same time I was kind of scared because of the dogs I remember going into a gas station and asking for help and coming back out to get into a car and the same two dogs were still trying to get me but at the same time the situation with my boyfriend I didn’t see him no more in the dream besides that moment I look to my left and seen him his phone. What does the dogs mean in the dream

    • Dear Brandi,
Normally dogs are meant to be symbols of loyalty and friendship. So when you see two dogs in a dream, it means that you need a lot of friendship and loyalty inside yourself as a person. These dogs are pit bulls which have a reputation of the negative side of dogs in a dream which is aggression. The fact that they are red and black also signify the dark and vicious side. It seems to me that the dream is giving you a warning about your boyfriend. He will probably have times when he is loving and then times when he is completely not there like he is missing and then becomes aggressive. Be cautious and patient because you shouldn’t get into a long term commitment with someone if he turns out to be aggressive. You need to be in a relationship with someone who is really friendly and loyal.

  7. This was a dream I had months ago but after my dad passed away, I would hope that he visits me in my dreams because I believe in that.

So, I was at my backyard and i was alone so I was asking “Dad, where are you?” like I was actually speaking to someone. And strangely my dad peaked from behind the corner of my house smiling at me and answers “here I am” as I’d I was playing hide and seek with him. We we’re of course happy to see each other again so we talked alot for a while and when we were about to go back inside the house, he disappeared… It was as if he was never at my backyard and I was sad in my dream because I thought he was still with me.

I really don’t understand the message behind this dream and I really hope you can help to find out what my dad is trying to tell me. Thank you so much for your time and may you have a blessed day.

    • Dear Annie,
If you think of your dad as being in another world right now that is different than this world as it is associated with this world, but not exactly the same, it can begin to make sense. When you call for your father, he will be there for you, but as he has his own life and things to do in that life, he will not be there all the time. Sometimes your father is not the right person to help you from the other world and sometimes he is. When he comes in your dream, you know he is there for you, so you can ask for help. You can 100% believe that your father wants the best for you and is there to help you.

  8. I am going to talk about my nightmares that I am unable to understand. My nightmares does not feel scary as it always gave me adrenaline rush and made me do cool actions in the dream(parkour and avoiding obstacles). Most of the nightmares are just killer/monsters/enemies chasing me or accidents(train/car crash). Although sometimes the monsters might looked scary, I do not wake up scared or uneasy but felt a boost of confident and bravery. These dreams I am going to talk about are very different from the nightmares I had and made me feel very uneasy.

I had this dream two years ago(at that time my final exam was just around the corner and I was very nervous). This was the first nightmare that gave me an uneasy feeling.

I was walking up a narrow stairs with grey walls on both sides. There were many picture frames hung on my right side. They were filled with pictures of people dying or dead people(etc. suicides and homicides). They looked very detailed and gross. After reaching the top of the stairs I saw a glimpse of my bedroom(mentioned in my previous comment, it was the bedroom of my first house before I moved. It sometimes appears in my dreams.) The bedroom looked abandoned and rotting(as if it was abandoned for many years). The bedroom disappeared and I was in a church(I am a Buddhist and had never went inside a church in real life, only saw it in movies). The interior of the church looked dark and sinister. There were no religious signs anywhere and the walls were painted in black. The atmosphere felt as if there were evil presences. There was a huge painting hung at the front. The painting was an unfamiliar face that kept morphing. The painting has an evil energy to it.
    ——————————————————————————————-

The second dream that made me felt uneasy happened last year(I just graduated from my high school and was waiting for enrolment to university).

I was in a building that was meant to be a school. It was weird with staircase to nowhere and twisted hallways that looked very abnormal. The walls and floor were covered in black shiny coating and gave off a weird sci-fi vibe. Anyways, I was walking with my classmates. I suddenly found myself on a huge conveyor belt that was heading to the direction of a shredder. I managed to get off the conveyor belt. I looked towards the shredder and saw two of my friends getting shredded. One of them is my best friend and the other is a boy(we rarely spoke to each other) who had excellent grades in my class. I was horrified by the scene and woke up drenched in sweat.

    • Dear Kelly,
If you put the first part of your comments in context about what I wrote about the centipede dream, then all these abilities you have will make sense if you can consciously take control of your life and direct it. In these dreams you are being taught the importance of being aware of negative “evil” energy when you feel it, and then being able to act in accordance with it. The first one is about the negative energy that exists in the Christian church. This energy comes because they insist that there is only one way to spirituality and that is through Jesus. You get vulnerable to the negative energy when you think that the path upward in your life is narrow. Actually it is wide open with lots of possibilities and spirituality can come in many different ways. The second one is the variation of the same dream. When your friends believe that they have to follow a narrow path chosen by others, they will be shredded by the people controlling that path. The reason that Christians believe that they are the only way is about control. People with excellent grades are particularly vulnerable because they are told by others what their path should be and encouraged to follow up only to end up shredded by life. You have to feel the negative energy, be aware that it is there, and then choose the right path and be guided in the right way for you.

      • I wonder why is it always the first house I lived in appears in my dreams. The house I’m currently living in or the previous houses I had moved in had never appear in my dreams before.

        • The first house means that the issues you are currently having began in that house. Later when those issues are resolved and you have developed the positive, then it is possible that other houses will show up in your dreams to resolve other issues.

  9. I frequently experience lucid dreams, so I can’t necessarily control the events of the dream, but am fully aware of myself and am conscious during it. I had an unusual dream the other night in which I was not conscious and was not entirely aware of my actions. In the dream, the devil came to me with a contract. He told me if I signed the document, my dream of becoming a successful author would come true. I signed the contract, then woke up. Have I sold my soul to Satan?

    • Dear K,
Being lucid in the dreaming process means that you are aware that you are dreaming while you are dreaming. In real life being lucid means that you are aware of what is happening in your life and able to exercise some control over it. The problem for you is probably that while you can do it in your dream life, you cannot do it very well in your waking life. This dream makes you aware of it because you sign a contract with the devil. This is equivalent to doing something like marrying for money. What you need to realize that is that you are fully capable of doing the mirror process of what you can do in the dream world in real life. All you really have to do is to pretend that your waking like is like a dream. Then you will be able to direct it to where you want to go.

  10. I had a weird dream. At first, I was walking with my brother on a street trying to find our parents. The street(the colour was mainly red there) looked busy and cheerful with a lot of shops(The shops had Oriental designs). After walking for a while, I found myself walking with my friends. It turns out I was on a trip with my friends. We went hiking on a hill. A huge crack suddenly appeared underneath our feet. We quickly ran away from the hill. While on the way running to safety, I picked up flowers that was along the way (the flowers were light pink and white, they looked like peony but they grew on the ground without any leaves). We then went to another place. The place was famous with pink weird flowers. The flowers were long and looked like a giant centipede(bigger than a human). The flowers were hanging above our heads. Suddenly, I saw something moving in the flowers. After a careful look, I saw a pink live centipede(also bigger than human) camouflaged and slithering in the flowers. No one noticed it except me. At that moment, I was scared to move when I saw that centipede. My friends just said there was nothing there and told me to move on. I took a deep breath a stepped forward. Then, the whole environment suddenly changed. I was inside a ship. The place looked like library (with bookshelves filled with books). The place was also dark and no one is there. I suddenly realized that I was missing and people were looking for me. Then, I was floating in the air without a physical body. I was above a stormy ocean. I flew towards a huge island. The island was a round flat metal platform and it looked like a factory. There were a lot of people on the island. Those that were wearing tattered clothes were doing labour work and there were people who wore formal clothes running around sending messages or guarding the workers.

    • Dear Kelly,
One of the interesting things about this dream is that it starts out that you find yourself in a place, and then again you are suddenly on a ship. In the first sequence you see lots of big beautiful flowers and in the second you are flying above everyone. The two positive experiences happen in the dream to make you aware that you have the capacity to see and experience beauty (see the positive around you and in others) and you have the ability to fly up above to get perspective and vision for where you are headed and what is below in your life. What you don’t have is the consciousness that you have this abilities. It is as if you have the ability to use and do use them, but your life is not directed how you want it to go because you don’t know that these are aspects of yourself that you can use all the time. As a result you find yourself always in a mix of positive and negative at the same time. This happens because others have the control of the direction of your life and not you. When you control the direction of your life, then you will find yourself exactly where you want to go and get there and it will be beautiful. When others control it, you will end up in some positive and a lot of negative also.

  11. For the past year or so I’ve had a dilemma of whether I should go to university for aviation or animation and I think I dreamt about it? In my dream I was piloting a plane and my brother was there. I think I crashed the plane in a ditch near a college in Ireland. I then went to that college to preview an animation course.

    • Dear Jenna,
To solve your dilemma in real life you can first start by solving the issue in your metaphoric or inner life. Flying in the inner life means being able to have a long term vision and having the controls to get there. In your dream you crash which means that you have difficulties maintaining a long term vision and staying in control while doing so. If you go really long term and are in control then you can easily see that you can do both. You cannot do both, however, if you are only thinking short term.

  12. The first night, I had a dream that my boyfriend had found a long front tooth from our kitten. (Kitten is in real life, his name is Oreo, 11 weeks old) In the dream my boyfriend brings our kittens tooth to me and I closely examine it and find that it was broken out, not fallen out.
The second night, I dreamt that was cleaning a new apartment and found a bunch of broken human teeth and that a “neighbor” was abusing a beautiful fluffy white and tan adult cat. In this second dream I raced this abused cat to the animal hospital in fear of it having broken ribs.
I don’t know why I keep dreaming of cats and teeth, any help please?! I am 8 months pregnant if that helps.

    • Dear Natalie,
Cats in the dream world symbolize independent thinking and independence in life. At cat without teeth or teeth problems means that you cannot fully bite into the ideas that are coming to you so that you can think about them and make good decisions and informed opinions for yourself. The question you might ask yourself is what is it that is keeping me from having my own mind about things?

  13. Hi,
Has me puzzled. I dreamt of a living aunt caring for a baby who was my deceased uncle. We all gathered around.

    • Dear Kell,
The baby that your deceased aunt is caring for represents the positive energy that your uncle was supposed so develop in real life, but never did. That energy, which is who he was supposed to become, is always latent within you and wants to be developed. It seems to be important for your family to have this kind of energy, but I am not sure what it is. Usually it has to do intimacy, but I am not sure.

  14. Hi

When I was a kid until now I dreamt of being chased by a ghost, an ugly ghost which wanted to kill me in someone’s house but it feels like my own place. When I’m very very afraid, this stranger or should I say that I know him for a very long time pop up but doesn’t say anything. He just always make some gestures like holding my hands, hugging me comfortably, and kissing me passionately. And when he does, I always end up being awake for that dream. And everything seems to blurred until I forget all the details about my dream and getting curious about who he was. Please help me.

    • Dear Zal,
In real life the ghost represents negative imagination which are things that your mind creates that are not necessarily real. Even thought the negative imagination is not real, it has the same effect as if it were real in terms of being fearful. The stranger wakes you up which is the part of you that tries to make everything happy and joyful so that you don’t have to experience the fearful image of the ghost. It is the way you cope with fearful images. The way to get over this kind of fearful image in waking life is to be completely confident in what you can already do. Instead of negative image that is not real, go into your memory and relive positive images of when you were very confident. If you do this enough the ghost-like images will go away and you will be achieve a lot.

  15. Hi

I was off work for a month until I started my next job. In that time I made the most of drinking alcohol , not sleeping until late etc.
Usually I had placid dreams that I can’t remember every detail of the next day.
    I would sleep right throughh.
Since I have been working again and not drinking, I can’t sleep properly which I would expect due to the alcohol and late nights.
But each time I keep having the same dream that I am asleep on the sofa in the conservatory (my room) and someone is watching me through the door, a figure standing there. I try to get up and at first I can’t move. I feel like I’ve woken up and try to move again but I can’t. The same thing happens three times. I feel like I am finally awake and I still see someone there. I always go to wake my parents up but the time I get to the door they are gone. I then feel strange as if I am judging what I thought has happened. I don’t know if it is real or not. Have you experienced anything like this before?

    • Dear Lacey,
The problem in the dream, which is your problem in real life, is that there is a part of you that is sleeping, that is hard to wake up. It is as if you really want this part to wake up, but it is really reluctant. You probably used the alcohol to cover it up, but now that you are not, it is trying to make itself known to you. I would guess it is the part of you that is really motivated to get somewhere positive in your life. No doubt it has a fear of being fired or excluded in someone. The way you can wake up this part is to set small very short-term goals that are in line with where you want to get to in your life. By doing this you can gradually let go of the fear.

  16. I was doing yoga in my home. I don’t do yoga in real life, but I felt at peace. My instructor was wearing a red dress. Abruptly, she stopped the lesson and took off the dress, revealing a dark blue one underneath. She insisted that I wear the red dress, which slightly confused me because we were doing yoga. However, I did as she asked and she looked pleased. She then said “I’ll give you the heels later.”

    • Dear Tabitha,
Doing yoga is a metaphor for getting to a place of inner peace which you do in the dream. This means that you have the ability to get to that state in you. Once you are at the peaceful place, then you can be in the role of attracting and being with others which is symbolized in the red dress. It is dangerous to do the attracting work before the inner peace work because without inner peace you are vulnerable to not maintaining your own self with them, but just being pleasing to them.

  17. Hi! It’s been a while since I’m struggling with finding my patron deity. Last night I had a dream and there was a woman who gave me some crystals and herbs as a gift. I can’t remember at all what she looked like, but I know that her name started with an H. She seemed pretty talkative and kinda egocentric. I remember asking her why my spells aren’t working, and she was like, “oh, Jonathan” ( for some reason there was a 2nd God in my dream, he didn’t talk at all. However, there’s no deity named Jonathan, from what I know)
I’ve always thought about working with Loki, but she told me to stay away from him. That’s all I can remember.
    What do you guys think?
Thanks a lot for taking the time to read my post!

    • Dear Raisa,
Finding your patron deity means that you are looking for your guidance internally so that you can get on with what your true self wants you to do in life. Before your inner healing work like”spells” can work, you have to have the quality of being able to work really hard in real life with helping others. Without this aspect of hard work in serving using spells is a way of escaping real life and will not work well. Once you have pure intentions and serve others with a lot of effort, then you will guided in ways you cannot begin to imagine. Your guides will come to you. This is the message of your dream. 18. Hey there, Richard 🙂

Lucid dreamer here. Or semi lucid. Or just vivid it really depends. I think last time i described dragons, and storms, and blowing up my house or something.

Well, here’s the latest dream. Before i forget it. Have been slacking off on my dream diary-.. doesn’t help me remember them for long.

Context: I took an afternoon nap after lunch.
    ——-
.. Sleeping doesn’t feel good anymore. Afternoon naps are always punishing after I wake up.

This is yet another false awakening. Who knows how many times i’ve tried to “wake up” in this same dream sequence. I’m tired.

I struggle to move, despite the body paralysis. Maybe it’s just not the time.

Regardless, I force an arm to the bed headboard to grab my bottle of water. Water is a reliable way to wake me up… or to confirm that I’m still dreaming and that this water is fake.

I roll off the bed, tumbling to the floor. I bring the bottle to my mouth and drink. Nothing. No sensation. I haven’t woken up, then.

I eventually drag myself to my feet and opened the bedroom door, wondering what my “house” (or rather my mind) has in store for me this time. I usually brace myself for something nasty, haunted rooms, ghosties lurking in the corner, but i suppose this sequence is one of the positive exceptions.

My house looks… modern. It looks like it belongs to a billionaire. I head to my living room. Luxury furniture. Computer room. LUXURY. I’m starting to wonder what’s waiting for me in the fridge. I decide not to check the kitchen, knowing that checking the fridge usually ends the dream early (eating in dreams kinda disturbs the dream’s stability). I don’t see anybody so far, not unusual.

Then there’s that balcony sitting between my living room and computer room. I live in a high apartment floor so it usually provides a decent view but.. it’s empty, and the openings have been completely closed up with this wallpaper. It looks like someone kinda abandoned it mid-construction. I can still see cement dust and a few building tools lying around.

The wallpaper looks like… well. Water. A big wallpaper painted like water covers my balcony. I can feel the water moving somehow, and i approach it, sensing that i just might be able to…

I submerge myself in the wall of water. I explore it for a bit, but movement is kinda limited.. I was stuck on an up-down-left-right-front-back kinda movement instead of the usual 360 kinda movement you get in a large body of water.

I would usually swim up, see what’s above the water there, then go back down, move forward, see whether there’s any openings and just.. well.. explore. At some point i started worrying about losing my breathe but i remember it’s a dream.. and just breathed normally. I can breathe underwater, it’s fine.

I turned right and looked up. I see a pair of eyes staring at me from the shadows above. The view is like something you see from a ghost movie or something but… i guess im used to it. I smile up and it and try to say hi or something. I roughly make out a face and it seems like its greeting me back.

I swim up to it and end up rising out of someone’s bathtub. I’m in someone’s bathroom, except the whole room is still submerged, technically. There’s a lady next to the bathtub, wondering how someone just came out of her bathtub. I asked what she’s doing in this submerged bathroom. “Submerged?” she answers, puzzled.

I forgot what happens next but i basically decided to go back down the bathtub. The path that used to lead back to the balcony is blocked. I realized all directions in this underwater man-pipe is blocked. Looks like I’ve been trapped, again.

I see a loose tile on the floor and scrape it out. There’s another loose tile underneath and I scrape that out too. I keep scraping tiles out, wondering whether i can dig myself past this wall. The hole is big enough to fit a hand under the wall. Apparently i could push the wall up. In fact, it crumples up like cardboard. The way back to my balcony has been opened. I turn around, and realize the way forward is also blocked by that same cardboard wall. I push it open and head forward.

    I wake up.
    ——
haha ok i don’t actually remember that much from this dream sequence, it’s just that i type wayy too much. my descriptions are long. haha!

    • in real life, the balcony is the corner of the apartment where the bottom wall is made of bricks and the top part is an opening with a view to another apartment block and the playground, if you look down. It is covered by a grill.

It is where mom would keep her pets and plants when she had them.

In dreams, the balcony would usually hold plants or animals, maybe pets that i had in the past as well. If i were looking for an opening to exit the house, the balcony is also an option, who knows there may be an opening i can climb out.

    • Dear Marissa,
I like the way you say you are semi-lucid in your dreams because you really are not able to effect positive outcomes even though you are aware of what is happening. Water is a relational element which means that when it appears in a dream, you are dealing with your relationships. The problem that shows in your relational life is that you do not have full freedom, you end up in places that you didn’t plan to be in, and that you are consistently blocked. You can solve the dream in real life by making images of the type of water where you like to be. This is the metaphoric type work. Instead of being blocked in a wall or someone else’s bathtub you can imagine being in a really positive water space like in a pool or lake or warm waters. Then you can change the metaphor into real life by imagining the type of relationships you would like to have in life. This is the first step. After that step you can dive into the relational waters with full freedom and immerse yourself in the process of how to get really close to people. Being lucid in life means being able to reflect on an experience as it is happening so that you can change it to make it better. The first spiritual goal for you is getting much closer on a deeper level with people.

  19. Hello Richard! Here is my dream: I was at home and saw a wide knife on the floor, it was moving. I knew it was my deceased grandfather trying to contact me or my family. He made the knife move and fly. It was not pointed at me or anything that could be considered negative or dangerous. The knife just moved and flew to the wall. When my parents came home and I told them about that they were not happy and thought that my grandfather should not have done it, because it could scare me. But I wasn’t scared and was cool about the whole thing. I just didn’t understand why he did that in front of me, if he wanted to contact my father. (note: the grandfather I thought was in my dream is from my father’s side. He died when I was very a baby and I don’t remember anything about him.)

    • Dear Elena,
The purpose of a metaphoric knife is for you to be able to cut through the lies and half-truths that are being told to you in life so that you can get the real truth of a situation. It is as if you are cutting through the lie with the sharp knife of your perceptive mind. Usually the way you do this is to start with a feeling that even though someone is telling you something that sounds plausible, there is something not right about it. When you trust your feelings and keep knifing your way through what is being said, you will find the real truth.

  20. Dear Richard,
For the past month or so, I have been having these series of dreams about a man named Namjoon. He always appears and gently talks to me in riddles and has a very secretive but gentle personality. Whenever I have these dreams, I face many nightmarish things and always seem to almost slip up or die at the end. However, Namjoon appears and saves me, while also speaking in riddles and hints that I cannot decipher myself. Each dream that occurs seems to be a different situation, but with the same man sticking close and helping me. These dreams always leave me confused and a little shook. Lately, this one dream with Namjoon has been repeating, and as soon as he grabs a sharp object out of my hand, he talks to me sternly and hugs me. Unfortunately, he tries to tell me something, but I always wake up in a cold sweat and never hear what he has to say…What do you think?

    • Dear Emily,
Namjoon is an unconscious part of you inside that is like your protector. You probably have a tendency to put yourself into situations where you are not very protected in life and then suddenly wake up to the danger and get out of bad situations. The riddle part is that it is a riddle for you about how you get into negative situations. He is male because protectors usually have masculine-type energy. The goal is to have a protector part inside. The first thing it does is to read the negative energy in any situation and then inform you when you need protection. You should be able to take it out of riddle form when you can read the negative energy and then trust whether or not it is safe for you to proceed. Right now your protection is unconscious, but you need to make it conscious to you so that you are much more aware of danger when you need to have it. It is like Namjoon needs to become part of your identity rather than unconscious to you.
