  1. Had a weird dream that I saw my ex girlfriend with her new boyfriend & his daughter and the daughter about 10 said the f word to me and I somehow ended up chasing them on foot while the drove a blue boat looking truck and caught up to them later and woke up. So weird? What could this mean?

    • This is a response to Madeline’s dream,
Hi Madeline, When something disrespectful happens to you, your tendency is to chase after the person conceivably to get some kind of apology or something. Unfortunately, even if they do apologize, it doesn’t do you much good. The real goal is to let go of disrespect as it happens and keep going in a positive direction with whatever you want to do positive in your life. The disrespect means nothing. The positive direction of your life means everything.

  2. One other dream in the same home where i was flying between 5 to 8 yrs of age i also had a dream that rats where crawling all over me and the walls too my room where closeing in on me. Does this have any meaning and what is the meaning if so is one . Thank you

    • This is a response to Michelle’s dream,
Hi Michelle, This is close to what I was writing about in the email to you. What will happen to you when you think about flying and getting to things easily, is that you will also feel closed in and rats crawling over you metaphorically. This is because that happened to you when you were trying to be free. This probably also relates to school because it tends to be a closing in experience and the motives of school are not so clean. In this case the goal is to be able to do a lot of activity and feel open and free when doing it. Your mind has the rats and closed in associated with being free so you are going to have to do work to break the association between the two.

  3. So, I had this dream where everything was blank around me. After a few seconds, something flew across my field of vision. It was a monster, and the best way I can describe it is like a leech with legs. It was charred, as evidenced by the fiery trail it left while midair. I wasn’t really fazed, but I looked the other way to see where it came from. There was a doorway with smoke coming out of it. There was someone walking out of it, and I thought it was my missing brother-in-law, but instead, I got my nephew. He was tall in this dream, but other than that, he looked about the same as he does in real life. It turned out he was looking for the same person.

I recognised him from pictures, but he didn’t recognise me, even though my sister owns a lot of my music albums (I used to be a musician). I asked him about that, but he turned around and yelled “I don’t know!”. After that, I was hit by this weird vehicle, and it didn’t hurt, but I bled blue. This short woman with an accent came out to check on me, then offered me a ride. I said “As long as you take my nephew too” or something along those lines.

Before I got in, I had a look at the vehicle. It was like a train with no wheels. It just hovered on the ground, I guess.

So we reversed, picked my nephew up, and the way he entered was unusual: he turned into liquid and slooshed through the window. The woman introduced herself, then her daughter (who didn’t say anything throughout the dream), and the driver, who had dark brown skin, and was supposedly a football player. There was a song playing, and I’ve tried to remember it, but I didn’t get all of it. There’s one line that always gets me: “History never repeats”. I don’t know if this is a real song or not. I asked what the song was, but no one answered.

I asked another question about where we were. The woman explained it, but all I remember is her changing the outside, the inside, and rambling nonsense. I then made a table appear with a tea set. Everyone, including the driver, had a cup of tea.

We stopped at this big building, as we were in a city. I got out and had a look at the vehicle. It was a stretched out car, pink and sparkly. I think she called it a “hummer”. I caught up with everyone else. The woman’s daughter opened the doors, and inside was this pop star I really like. He was tied to a beam and the room was full of spikes. I called out to him, and I could see he was afraid. The driver disappeared, and so did my nephew. Before I knew it, the spikes closed in, and I woke up having an asthma attack.

I told my nephew about this, and he said he had a similar dream from his perspective (They just moved to town).

    • This is a response to Confused’s dream,
Hi, The problem you have in the dream is a cultural one. The leech like monster is cultural in origin. It is how the culture works. It affects you and your nephew a lot and the pop star. The leech-like monster is a symbol for how the culture works. What it does is allow a very few percentage of people to get to the top and control all of the resources and decisions.(rule and control by the few). It isn’t exactly a dictatorship, more like rule by a small club. When you try to live a creative life, you automatically are singled out as a threat because the goal is control and to leech out from people below all that they have for sake of the top. A few like the pop star get confined by the system the culture has set up. The worst part is it is all done unconsciously from the moment you enter school by trying to turn you into a workaholic. To escape the culture and turn it, and this is going to sound weird, you have to do the opposite of the leech and being railroaded. You need to give away things for free that benefit others. As soon as you make something free and give it away like your music then break free from the system and all things become possible. The trap is in the money.

      • Well, this is interesting, but surprisingly spot-on!

I have to tell you, I made this dream up for one of my stories! (Remember what you said about my Kardashian dream?)

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but you have essentially nit-picked my main character!

He might be retired as a songwriter, but he’s still in the music game for other artists. He doesn’t earn much, but that’s by choice.

Still, he makes sure he doesn’t fall into the trap. That’s why the leech misses him without him making a move, and while the train hits him, it doesn’t hurt.

I guess the blue blood represents how he’s seen in the industry: Since he’s this big famous musician, he’s gotta be scary, right? Not quite. Sometimes, he’s like that, but it’s either him playing around or he hasn’t had tea in a while. There’s a detail I left out: The woman was disgusted by the ick, but still wanted to be nice and help him out.

He always liked to do his own thing, even when he was a shy village boy. He’s not pompous, he’s just assertive in his own decisions and likes peace and quiet.

I threw in “History Never Repeats” by Split Enz for him to remember. He doesn’t know what the song is (he doesn’t even know what New Zealand is – he’s not a human), but it’s gonna nag at him until he hears it in real life. Before that time, he’s gonna try to remember the line, the melody and chord progression.

The two people I didn’t name were David Wirrpanda (former AFL star) and Show Luo (Taiwanese pop star). Wirrpanda was wearing his West Coast Eagles jersey. Another detail is that my main character has never heard of AFL.

The tea set is an interesting one: He made it appear. He’s setting an example for people in his entertainment agency now. People are following in his footsteps, though he doesn’t will it – he just really wanted tea at the time (in real life too).

This really motivates me. I’d like to see you do more of my character’s dreams, once I’ve gotten that far in my story. For future reference, his name is Karu.

  4. As a child around the ages of 5 thru 8 years of age. I would dream that i was standing at the top of our stairs in my childhood home. I could see myself lift my hands up in front of me a myself lifting up and flying down the stairs down where below with me ubove them i was flying repeated over my family mother and father. This was steadedly reaccuring. Then stopped when we moved from that home. Then another recurring dream started. That behind me over at my adopted grandparents down the blacktop i was running could hear something chaseing me, but when i looked behind me No One Was There. What do and theae dreams mean

    • This is a response to Michelle’s dream
      Dear Michelle,
Flying in a dream inside your house means believing that you can get to where you want to go in life and in anything you do really easily. Around the age of 9 you stopped believing in that ability. That is when the culture started chasing you which means that you would have been feeling the pressure of the culture to do what it wants you to do. The reason you cannot see who is chasing you is because the culture is an invisible force that makes you believe things that are not necessarily true about the future. Mainly they plant ideas in your head about the relationship between performance in school and your future success. It helps turn people into workaholics so that they can be controlled by others because for the most part people who are the top of an organization don’t want people believing that anything is possible. It is too much of a threat to their control. If you can go back to the dreams when you were 5-8 and start reliving them so you feel those feelings, then your life is going to be amazing. At the same time you need to start seeing the culture for what it is.

  5. I had a dream that my ex was trying to get into my house with a chainsaw as i was sleeping , what could this mean ?? Its only been 3 weeks since we split up an this dream has me wondering …plz help me figure it out

    • This is a response to Misty’s dream,
Hi Misty, Your house in a dream is a symbol of your self. He is trying to use a chainsaw because that is what he did before in your life. The fact that you are sleeping means that you were asleep in your life or you were not aware of who you are and where you want to go. He just kind of chainsawed his way, but probably it ended because you started to wake up to who you were and he was no longer part of that equation. The key is to wake up and be the person you are meant to be.

  6. I dreamed when we moving with my father for a tour with my brother but my father and my brothers walked a long distance and then left me carrying a heavy bug but i finally reached home but still he was running away from me with a high speed

    • This is a response to Balyejjusa’s dream,
Hi, This is the a dream about the way men in your culture give women all of the heavy work to do and then just run away as fast as they can. The problem is that you do not believe you have any power to deal with it, but what you need to do is to share the responsibility so that the family gets wealthier with more hands working. In my culture in my home we share responsibility. You have to find ways in your culture that this can be accomplished. I don’t know how to do this exactly, but if you believe it can be done, then you can gradually implement it over time. You should get together with other women who feel the same as you and begin deciding what you can do about it.

  7. last nyt i had a scary dream. i dreamt i was being bitten by a crocodile. it was small like a lizard. so my brother came and tired me with a handkerchief n took me to the hospital. on arrival we waited for a doctor for so long. then i walk up. what does that mean?

    • This is a response to Evalyne’s dream,
Hi Evalyne, Crocodiles are animals that lurk and then bite into their prey. In this case the croc is not so big, but painful nonetheless. It means that you have someone in your life is waiting to pounce on you and cause you pain even if it doesn’t mean death. What is helpful if you can do this, is to be aware of who is trying to pounce on by lurking. Then you can do the opposite, which is lurking for the positive in them. It is a very difficult skill to learn because you have to be detached from the pain they are trying to inflict on you by realizing that they are doing it out of jealousy. They don’t know how to be positive. When you show them love, they gradually change, but you cannot do it unless you are completely detached from the negative that they do to you as in not be affected by it.

  8. I just had a really weird dream where this girl i didnt know was about to have a baby on the floor on july 4th and a few of us (no one i knew) were waiting, looking out the window for the fireworks to start. But there was big spiders hanging outside and one starter sliding in the window. Then i woke up im terrified of spiders

    • This is a response to Alicia’s dream,
Hi Alicia, The problem is that you are trying to give birth to the part of you that is really excited and enthusiastic about life, but you are really fear of spiders. Spiders represent negative feminine energy, usually cliquey behavior that excludes, gossips, talks behind backs, is full of jealousy, and really plotting. It is very common in women’s culture and very deadly to your enthusiasm. A positive spider builds a really solid web of friendships by focusing on the positive in others, and ignoring minor faults. It is proactive in building positive connections rather than expecting them to happen. You have to actively see the positive in others and tell them. You also have to be a good listener. When you have these things, then you can be super enthusiastic like fireworks.

  9. Kind of long sorry; was sleeping last night and had a strange and scary dream i was in my house everyone was having good times then began to argue with thier own signifigant others. After which a pink slime came from the walls in a crude face like the Wal-mart smiley but, with no expression just a straight line where the smile would be…also should note we believe the place to be inhabitted by a spirit. When i called the others to see the slime face we look around to see many of them that would change to smileys as we were talking about the slime but, once i stated that the many that popped up afterward were creepy they turned into frowny faces and i fell asleep to awake in my bedroom as if normal only to see my cat in the chair next to me but, it was also there with a black rabbit and from the previous mentioned section this was alarming so i felt to see if my wife were next to me only to realize she nor my baby daughter were in the room. This obviously alarmed me as we had fallen asleep in the previous part of the dream in the living room from the faces being scary to us. so i had some kind of sleep paralysis at this point where my cat and the black rabbit were staring at me from this chair i try to scream and get up but, can not start to have distorted vision as the rabbit got a little closer only to wake up freaked out. Have no idea what this could mean any help would be awesome cause i’m still shaky from this

    • This is a response to John’s dream,
Hi John, The haunted feeling in the house is a result of the conflict between the cat and the black rabbit. This is what causes the slime to happen and the negative vibe. The positive aspect of a cat is that if loves independence and being independently minded, which is probably you. The positive thing of a rabbit is gentleness and the desire for a lot of companionship. They should compliment each other in your relationship, but instead they fight. Your partner wants more softness from you and you want more independence. It ends up in slime. Walmart type. It just works out to be that she needs to be less clingy and you need to be less resisting the companionship. You both have your strengths. She can get some of those needs met outside of the relationship, but you need to realize that you are in a relationship with a rabbit, not another cat. You have no problem having alone time, but are more challenged with the rabbit time. What you need to do is to be really confident about your cat and then also begin to be a rabbit. This will make the vibe really positive.

  10. Last night, I was dreaming I was in a building and a tornado was coming. I didn’t really see the tornado but I could hear it and everyone around me was scared. In my dream I was holding a baby with just a diaper on; I didn’t know the baby. I was trying to protect it and keep it safe. Just when I thought the tornado was over it turned around and came back to the building I was in. I remember thinking, I should’ve ran to other building but I didn’t I stayed put. The only time I saw the tornado was when it did a complete turn in the sky and came back to the building I was in.

    • This is a response to Stacy’s dream,
In real life a tornado is a devastating wind that wreaks a lot of havoc in a short period of time. As a symbol it stands for negative forces that can damage fragile relationships instantly. The baby stands for the fragility of the relationships you are trying to protect to keep the relationships safe. Often tornadoes are false ideas like prejudice that get stirred up with a lot of force so that the relationships are destroyed such as in the fragile relationship between races or religions. To overcome a human tornado you have to be a more powerful force that can overcome a tornado like inclusion. Inclusion is always more powerful because a tornado can only last a short time.

  11. Chantal
    March 29, 2016
i dreamed of a white wall i was hanging on it shining huge rosaries, i count them it was 8 rosaries i said to myself i will hang 2 more and they will become 10 rosaries and so i did.

    • This is a response to Chantal’s dream,
Hi Chantal, The purpose of rosaries in real life is to assist you in the process of prayer by counting the number of times you say a particular verse. They are used in many different religions with the same intent only different prayers. Having large rosaries and then adding more is a symbol of hoping that your prayer will be answered. There is a great value in repeated prayer. The only difficulty with prayer that happens for some people is that they prayer to kind of tie up the hands of God with their own desires, which may or may not be in alignment with what God wants for you. God already knows your heart and what you desire, but it is befitting that we who are lower beseech God for diving assistance so that we do not become too arrogant. When we are in a lowered state, the bounties and grace can flow to us much easier. A prayer that is repeated from a position of great humility will receive much grace.

  12. I’m walking down this humongous hallway in my dream, and I feel very warm. All of the sudden I scream. I know what will happen if I scream but I always do it. A big black figure grabs me and gives me a painful feeling all over. It feels like a painful tickling all over you. I’ve felt this in other dreams but this one is reoccurring. I have no idea how to stop this or what it means.

    • This is a response to Siddhartha’s dream,
Hi, A hallway is a corridor in a house that leads you to rooms. If this is a house, then it means that the hallway is the part of yourself that takes you from one part of your being to another. Imagine that you have like a quiet reflective self and then also a lively social self. The hallway represents the connector. When you scream you cannot get from one aspect of yourself to another. You stay stuck in the space where nothing is really engaged.
The scream is the cause of the black figure appearing. This means that if you remain calm and tranquil, a positive figure will appear that will help you coordinate all of the various parts of yourself. Being calm helps the positive aspects of yourself to come out. Screaming makes the negative come out.

  13. WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN YOU DREAM OF YOUR EX? I WAS AT HIS HOUSE WHERE WE USE TO LIVE TOGETHER I THINK WE WAS MAD AT EACH OTHER NOT SURE BUT I WAS MAD AT HIM BUT THE STRANGE PART I WAS SITTING ON THE FLOOR FOLDING HIS LAUNDRY WHILE HE STOOD IN THE DOOR WAY AND WATCH ME

    • This is a response to Mswhillyk,
Hi, The best way to deal with an anger dream is to imagine that you have a mirror and that you are talking to yourself because whatever you were mad about the way your ex behaved, which was probably valid, is the same anger you have toward yourself. When I do my own anger work, I first deal with the other person, then I deal with myself. In this case you were doing things for him which he should have been doing for himself. The solution for you is to understand when something is your business and when it belongs to them. It seems like probably he was content to have you do things for him, but had no intention of reciprocation.

  14. i had a dream.that i woke in the night to feed my baby when.i came down the stairs my partner has gone out but left all doors open and a man was walking down my pathway with hright eyes wat does this mean…

    • This is a response to Louise’s dream,
Hi Louise, In this dream you seem to have fear of the man with bright eyes, but I cannot tell for sure. This is the kind of thing that happens to the mind when you are left all alone especially when having a lot of responsibility like nurturing a baby. The need is to feel really supported inside. Support is the thing you need.

  15. This is what I remember from my dream:
A man my age had a gun pointed at me and I remember having to follow him. I didn’t feel scared, more anxious. We walked out of wherever we were and past some people (I had my hands behind my back, holding a small piece of paper). I dropped the paper when I walked by the people and all I know is that it said to contact someone.
Next I remember is being in a house with random people and out of no where as I’m walking past someone, it turns out to be my aunt and she quickly pulls me down the stairs (arm around me, directing me) and what I can only assume is family or police behind us. The thing is once she starts pulling me away I start to struggle, as if I don’t want to be taken away from the one who had kidnapped me.
I was never scared. I woke up feeling almost unsatisfied with how it (or how I remember it) ending.

    • This is a response to Leah’s dream,
Hi Leah, In the is dream you kidnapped by someone who you end up not wanting to leave. This is really interesting because usually it is the opposite. It is about being forced to do something as if it were at gunpoint but then liking it a lot even when people try to rescue you from it. I think that this dream teaches you to be more open to new experiences from the start rather than being forced into them. The resistance is the fear that they are not going to be so great.

  16. I had a dream I was in a building, there was a man who was acting reckless with a red van, I was with my son, pregnant daughter in law . When we were leaving building the van man came to my son with a baseball bat and then out of nowhere another three men with weapons came to beat him up as he cowered in a ball on the floor I threw my self over him to protect his head. I woke up at this point before they beat him up.

    • This is a response ot Jackie’s dream,
Hi Jackie, This dream is about the fear you have for your son. It is a metaphor for what can happen in the real world to men in the work place. It is as if they get beaten with baseball bats. It is not real bats, but metaphoric bats. It is the culture of reckless men who do not have concern for the welfare of others. He probably is need a lot of support from you.

  17. I don’t know if its relevant, but wanted to add it was evening also when my Dad and his friend were coming over. My front door was facing the east. Toward the end of the dream, when I found the mouse it was day and I was facing south, then west.

  18. Hi Richard,

I had a dream last night where I was at the last house I grew up in where my son and I lived with my Dad. In the dream I lived there, my Dad and his friend Frank that always hangs out with him were coming over. They were just about to come in and were coming up the steps. I had a bird in my arms, kind of holding it on my left side the way I would hold a baby, sort of. It was a medium size bird, dark brown w some blue on the sides a very short slightly wide beak, very friendly eyes and face. I had so much love for it holding it. So, as I was saying they about to come in, I was hurrying trying to get things set set up or done before they came in. I quickly put the bird in the back of my durango (I used to have a dodge durango that was impounded). I don’t remember what exactly happened in the dream after that, but then all of the sudden super panicked I realized I had left the bird in the back of my durango for almost two weeks. I rushed to get it not knowing idf it was still alive. It was in a cardboard gift box. I took the top off and I thought maybe she was dead. Her tongue was swollen and protuding. She was missing patches of feathers and had sores. I was thinking how could I do this to her, how could I forgey about her? I was thinking about how horrible it must have been for her to be in the dark box alone, scared, no food no water, thinking no one is there for her for almost two weeks. I thought she was deas, then she started moving a little, I could feel her little heart beating. I knew I had to get her to a vet right away otherwise she would die. It was like I was trying to get her to the vet with my willpower. Then, I think I was on the way to the vet, I had to get my vehie to get there, then I had to get it out of imound. Someone was with me at this point, don’t know who. I was holding her, I was in the impound lot. It was in the middle of the night and I was lookinf for my durango, then I saw my jeep ( my current vehicle) and zi said there’s my jeep. I was somewhere else. I was still holding the bird, I realized she was all of the sudden doing better. Then there was regular a cardboard box on the ground. I realized oh my God I lefr another bird in a box. A finch with some blue started to come out, then it turned into a mouse, but in the dream I realized oh, it’s a mouse. So, I put it in a cage, that was part cage, part cardboard box on the bottom to protect it. I was watching it to make sure it was safe, a couple times it almost escaped, bit I made sure it stayed and was safe.

After the part where I found the bird in the box I had overwhelming guilt and sadness about leaving her, how I could do that, and what it must have been like for her that lasted well into my morning.

    • This is a response to Sarah’s dream,
Hi Sarah, The main thing that is important to know about the dream is about the bird. The bird is a symbol of freedom inside, the freedom to move and act in the way you see fit in life. At the time when your durango was impounded is probably the time when you left your free feeling. Now it is in need of a vet which will probably be a matter of time for you. Your bird turned into a mouse, which means instead of feeling free you are just scurrying around. The work for you now is to get back to your bird and let her fly inside.

  19. In my dream, I enter a room with someone. There, I saw a few dragons playing with each other. When I asked the person if she could see them, she tells me she can’t. But I went in the room and start to play with them.

    • This is a response to Basher’s dream,
Hi Basher. A dragon that others don’t see but you see mean that you have this great ability to do what mythical dragons do. They scare away the negative spirits. In real life that means you can take out the negative energy or the negative vibes in a place. This is because you can relate to people in a positive way and help them let go of whatever negative thing that they are holding onto. It is something you should play with and then really develop.
