My daughter dreamed that: She was staring for a long time at a bottle of rose water (similar to one I sprinkle her with) which was floating in darkness and then in the dream I was trying to wake her up. She “sort of” woke up and then went back to sleep and dreamed about a stalk of celery which we have growing in water in our kitchen as an experiment. (This is something we really did about a week ago and are getting excited because the celery is regenerating itself and growing a new stalk from where we cut the old one).

The key to this dream is that it is perfectly ok to leave something that you think is inappropriate. You don’t have to consider the feelings of your friend. In this case your friend has to consider you because it is obvious that your friend has a lack of consideration. The principle here is modesty which is the quality that allows others to be in a relationship with you. You are modest but embarrassed. They are not modest, but should be embarrassed by it because the purpose of the activity is only about them and not about you. It is how are world is so screwed up in this regard. Modesty is an important quality in keeping a relationship going.

It is always good to do this dream from two perspectives. One is the perspective of the girl herself and the other is you as the girl. The girl herself, needs a friend who really believes in her and then stays with her in a very encouraging way until she adjusts. It is just that she needs more time with you.
The second one is you as the girl. How are you not adjusting to a new situation? That is the question. Then you stay with yourself and give yourself a lot of encouragement by reminding yourself of your positive qualities and past successes. Review in your mind what was successful over and over and then you will be successful in the new situation.

This is the way I would interpret your dream. An eagle is the bird that flies highest in the sky, which symbolically means that it is the most sacred because it is closest to “heaven”. The Native people in North America say that it cuts holes in the sky so that the positive inspiration can come down. In your dream it is like the heaven has come down to the earth, the most sacred has come to the sphere representing the earth. The streams of green light can be seen as growth and also an invitation from the sacred powers of heaven to do positive things in the world. It is like the world has become really open to do powerful things that are positive in nature.
Apostate is the word for someone who renounces their religious belief. It is good maybe to see this in two ways. One is that the old system of religion has completely failed us in that it continues to create division, inequality, and inequity. It was never God’s intention to have religion be a source of division, but people use it for their own selfish gain. The key belief for the new age is unity and peace. When you believe in the power of unity, you can bring light to all regions. You can become an apostate to the old system, and a believer in the new one based on unity.

The purpose of this dream is for you to change your view of history so that you learn patterns that are suited for the new age of which you are going to be a major player. The problem with the way history is taught is that it often seen as a series of wars lead by generals who either get killed or kill a lot of people. It says that if you want to make progress, you have to fight. If you look at the generals in a war like World War 1, really they were a bunch of incompetent leaders with bad tactics looking for recognition. The result was millions of lives wasted on both sides. Your purpose in this day is to not fight skeletons, but to unite together with your friends and create a peaceful and positive world by doing constructive rather than destructive things.
Americans, particularly after 9/11, have been fast to go to war, but slow to use cooperative strategies that aim toward progress and peace. The culture of violence in America is pretty horrifying. If you and your friends can get together and be generals for constructive peace without resorting to conflict, then you will create an amazing world which we all want to live in.
The gorge is like a divide between people in the world. The really positive thing about America is that it has taken in so many people from all over the world who can live in great harmony. There is practically no other country in the world that has such a diverse population. It is a great achievement that so much harmony exists amongst all of the cultural groups. But there is still a long way to go which is the responsibility and challenge of your generation.
I dream we’ve moved into a Grade 5 classroom with new teachers. I like the new space and the new teacher and we are talking English instead of French Immersion and I am moving right along. An old friend is not doing so well in the class. She didn’t cope well with the change. I am in a conversation with the teacher, about the curriculum and classwork, because the new teacher wants to know how the old teacher did a certain lesson and I show her the method. She says this particular student wouldn’t like it if we did it that way because she is not able to do it and that has stopped trying because she feels stupid. I say, “No way! She’s not stupid. She used to be one of the smartest in the class. She just isn’t used to the new set up, new teaching style and stuff.” I believe once she gets used to it she will be really good in this new environment too. And I want to go over to her to encourage her. But when I go over, she goes out into the hall and she so strongly believes she is not able to do well in this class that she won’t listen to anything I say. It’s an awful feeling but I just go back into the classroom without her. I don’t really understand why she can’t see that with effort and in time she will do really well and also that what she has to bring the class is so valuable, that she matters. It’s extremely hard for me to focus on the school work when I think of her upset out in the hall. In fact, I walk back in the room but can’t see how to make that work.

I just remembered that the lake in Epcot was like a portal. That’s how we got to the gorge.
I am in my school’s version of the gifted & talented class for social studies. Surprisingly, all of the “Generals” of my dream were in this group (They are in my class). There were five generals leading troops that were made of kids from school. Me, a girl named Chloe, a girl named Anjana, a boy named Chris, and another boy named Adam. (I am not in a relationship with anyone, other than Anjana. She is one of my best friends) We were on some type of quest, Chris and Chloe went down in a gorge that looked strangely like the Grand Canyon. They were all cautious, then a war horn blew and skeleton warriors came streaming down the sides. Chris’ horse reared up like in a movie, he called out, then the dream shifted to me, Anjana, and Adam. We were in Epcot, in the Japan section. (I am American, Anjana is Indian, and Adam is American) We looked into the water of the lake that did the IllumiNation presentation. We looked down at an areal view of the gorge, with a pink stripe at the bottom. At closer inspection, it was blood. Chris and Chloe’s troops had fallen, but they managed to kill all the skeletons. As we (Adam, Anjana, me) walked through, we were cautions. At the end of the canyon, ape warriors like the ones from Planet of the Apes came down like the skeletons. They managed to get Anjana’s troops and her. This is a weird and violent dream, not normal. I did watch Quantum Leap the other day, one with a lot of skeletons. (The one with Troian, the one where she thinks she is haunted by her dead husband…) I am not married or anything, and everyone in the dream was around 18-20, normally 19.

Just a little note to thank you both for writing about ghost dreams and while I am not familiar with Neymar the soccer player I’m sure he is awesome! You are right Anonymous that I did/do have some negative qualities in my life/my self that I am learning to detach from. And I’ve come to realize where I’ve been attacking myself and really striving to be more gentle and loving despite the fears. Sometimes when I consider all the mistakes I’ve made I feel nearly hopeless but somehow the process of growth just continues to nudge me along. I feel grateful for this site and the courage everyone shows in their open sharing about such challenging life issues. Dreamwork really is work…but it truly has brought more joy to my life than any other transformation work I’ve participated in. For that I am so grateful.
I dream I go to what I think is a friend’s house but when I get there I find we are in a school setting and she has ordered male strippers. I’m not interested in that but don’t want to embarrass myself by leaving since it is a culturally normal event and everyone else seems to be having a good time. So I try to think of how I will deal with it/avoid them when they start taking their clothes off. There is one guy in particular who catches my eye contact and I see he can see I’m uncomfortable. That makes him uncomfortable and it is so awkward. I’m suddenly self-conscious of how I’m dressed because I’m in a blue dress that i love but I feel too conservative which I thought was going to be good and now it just feels so inappropriate for this gathering. So then the dance starts and they are all shirtless but with pants on. I just look away but catch them out of the corner of my eye. When the next dance starts one guy just flashes the group but I don’t see anything. Then I hear that they are going to all take turns flashing and then start over and take their pants off. I can see where this is going and I just want to leave but really don’t know how and don’t want to offend my friend.
Then the principle comes in and shows the host that a grade 2 student who wasn’t even in the room drew a picture of a penis as a gun. This has to stop, he says. “They are picking up on the vibe even though they aren’t in the room. It’s not right,” he says. And I am so relieved it’s going to end.
Then I’m at a childhood friend’s house and she apologized for her dad’s rude behaviour. That he really didn’t want me over but invited me anyway so it made him a bit mad.
The purpose of this dream is to show you that beauty or the ordering of beauty in your life is a much higher ability that being able to win a conflict as in fighting. It is especially important when developing the potential of yourself and the next generation. Beauty, in the spiritual sense, trumps or defeats aggressive qualities that are war-like. Stay out of conflict and into recognizing and encouraging beauty. The most important way to do it is to recognize really positive qualities and then encouraging them in yourself and others.
That is how you maintain relationships at the highest level.
A few nights ago I dreamt that I was in a video game type situation. There were lots of soldiers in our elegantly dark armored suits. I saw some large guy with his Halo style helmet on shooting a chainsaw gun like the one in Gears of War. After that, I was leveled up to a higher rank that was harder. A large group of us ran over to bundles of hundreds of carnations, including the large guy. I then discovered the large guy was a different ex of mine. We had to shuffle the flowers around to arrange them in an order that was every three flowers, I think. We knew were doing it right because I looked up and saw a picture of a very stormy shy that had a rainbow in it. Horizontal lines were missing, but those lines were being filled in by the flowers. The Rainbow being filled in was the weapon that quickly and easily defeated the waves of difficult enemies that could not be harmed by my gun.
Then my dream switched. I’m at my fiancè’s mom’s house. He is sitting on one side of the couch; his twin sister is on the other side, holding her infant son. I’m sitting on the floor, comfortable, next to my fiancè’s legs. His sister’s fiancè is standing next to her. I reminded her that I wanted the shoes I just bought for her son back when I would need them for my baby. Then my fiancè felt nauseated. I wanted to know why. He said it was because of my morning sickness. I asked if he was going to be nauseated my entire pregnancy, and he said no.

When you are intoxicated the way you are in that dream, the feeling is really negative because the purpose of the intoxication is to numb some kind of pain you are in. People who have difficulties with intoxication are always trying to use it to get rid of some pain that they have inside. It tends to be effective in the beginning, but the inner pain only goes away temporarily so they try to get even more intoxicated to numb it. After awhile it doesn’t work at all.
The key is to look for the hurt by asking yourself how you are hurt inside. The nice thing about the emotion of hurt is that when you let it go, it opens up great huge doors for you in ways you couldn’t possibly imagine. Hurt is best dealt with when you think about the pain as a metaphor like the hurt feels like being stabbed in the heart or in the back or being cut up with a knife or being pounded into the ground.
The key is to get help in dealing the emotional wound so that a new part of you can open.

Aimee, Bunnies are symbols of gentleness and the ability to multiply quickly. Because they do not have a lot of natural defenses like other animals, they rely on reproducing quickly. This is what is required for gentleness to work as a quality. You need to use a lot of it all the time because it is one of greatest virtues we have been given as human beings. It is extremely powerful in the transformation process, but overlooked because of the vicious nature of modern society. Whenever I do a presentation in front of people, I remember my gentleness because I know it will be so powerful for the group. I can hardly think of a more powerful virtue. It invites people into the world of transformation and then handles them very carefully.
You are being asked to have it in more abundance, but you are fearful of cockroaches. Cockroaches are insects that also multiply quickly. They are actually relatively harmless, but when there are so many of them they can really “bug” you. It is the annoyance that multiplies in you that you have to watch out for. What happens with gentleness is that because it is a virtue with a lot of vulnerability, you feel vulnerable when you are trying to use it. This in turn, increases your ego’s reaction to people in a negative way. People tend to annoy you easily and that is what you are fearful of.
To get over it you have to be detached from people’s annoying ways and ego habits and remember that your goal is to create a space for people so that they can change. When you do this, it will be change everything for you in a positive way. Just let go of the way people annoy you.

I have been having a recurring dream which has been occurring for several months to even a year now. I extremely intoxicated on drugs and can barely walk or even talk. I am with my family and they are trying to talk with me but I am not sober enough to understand what’s going on or reply to them while they still try to talk to me. During the dream they realise that I have taken drugs and I try and convince them that I haven’t taken anything.
Over time these dreams have slightly changed. Initially, I would be trying to walk and would simply be knocking into things and falling over. More recently the situation has been where my mother is propping me up and try to help me walk.
Your interpretation would be much appreciated.

I had a dream I was saving pet bunnies from roaches. I remember being so scared and snuggling with a black bunny. For some reason the dream has been bothering me all day. please help me find out what it means….

The first dream has to do with the effects of inner and outer criticism on you. Criticism is like a deadly disease that keeps you in bed and makes you break out all over. The problem is not so much the words themselves when we say them to ourselves or others say them to us, but the fact that we remember them and repeat them and then believe everyone is against and then they become crippling to us. It is probably because you are in college which is generally a critical rather then encouraging environment because most university professors don’t have much of clue about teaching. They are there because they have strong critical faculties in their minds for discerning things, but then carry that capacity over the interacting with others which is a disaster.
In such an environment it is easy for your mind to believe that everyone is going to go against you. The solution to the dream is encouragement. Encouragement is the process of finding the positive in what you are doing or what others are doing, remembering it strongly, and then acknowledging it by saying it to yourself or others. There is nothing better to keep you motivated to going after what you want than encouragement. Unfortunately much of the college environment is the antithesis of that. One of the keys is to realize that it is usually one or two people who do are really critical that cause the problem, but then it feels like the whole world is against you and then you also get really self critical. Then you have to learn how to be self encouraging.
In the second dream the idea is with the puppies is that you really need to be your own best friend. Dogs are symbols of friendship so when you are trying to run away with your dog it is like you are trying to get away from something and be with your best friend. The way to solve it is to start thinking of yourself as your own best friend and then you can teach others the same which is where the puppies are. Friendliness with yourself means first really dwelling on the positives inside of yourself and being really friendly with them. There is an issue with you and your mom of both being in the dark and getting lost. This means that you are acting pretty much the same way your mom acts. When you become friendly with yourself, it will also help her a lot.

I had a couple of troubling dreams last night, of which I can only really remember one, but I was hoping you could help me figure it out.
I’m currently at college, but in the dream, I was home. I was bed-ridden, and many of my friends and cousins were visiting me. One of my college friends was telling me how horrible of a person I am and how awful I can be. Another college friend then proceeded to say the same things. Then one of my cousins told me how disgusting I am because I’m so overweight (but in real life I’m not). Soon my high school best friend began chiming in, and as they talked I noticed warts appearing all over my left arm, but even though everyone kept talking, the warts didn’t show up anywhere else.
All I can remember of the second dream is my mom was there and we were traveling somewhere by night, but we got lost. Then in the day, I ran away with my dog, who then had like 10 puppies. I remember feeling overwhelmed by the responsibility of taking care of so many. This dream sounds ridiculous now that I’ve typed it out!
